Nikola Petrov

My name is Nikola Petrov and I am a state-certified translator for German, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian. Languages and cultures have fascinated me since I was a child, and over the years I have turned this passion into my profession. In addition to my working languages, I speak a total of seven languages: German, English and Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian fluently, and Spanish, Japanese, French and Russian at a good level. Learning languages is not just a hobby for me, but an enrichment that allows me to better understand people and their stories.

I am 26 years old, born in Germany and grew up in the Balkans. This unique combination has given me a deep understanding of cultural diversity and the subtleties between different ways of life. My curiosity for history, geography and foreign cultures not only shapes my personality, but also my work, in which I specialize in building linguistic and cultural bridges.

Before I started working as a full-time translator in 2022, I worked for three years as a nurse in an intensive care unit. This time had a big impact on me – I not only learned to work precisely and responsibly under pressure, but also how important clear communication is, especially in sensitive and complex situations. I bring these skills to my translation work today: accuracy, care and empathy are a given for me.

In addition to my work as a translator, I am currently working as an integration officer in a clinic. Here I help people overcome language and cultural barriers and achieve good integration into the job market.

If you are looking for a professional translator who has both linguistic expertise and cultural understanding, I look forward to supporting you. Feel free to write to me – I look forward to successfully implementing your projects with you!

Best regards,
Nikola Petrov
